The Faculty of Science's organisational structure consists of two schools, two research institutes, administrative services and technical services. This role sits within the School of Life Sciences and will work closes with other professional staff in the school to achieves goals and objectives. As the School Administration Officer, you will provide a range of administrative, secretarial and clerical support that contributes to the efficient operation of the School.
**In this role, you will be responsible for**:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all enquiries to the school and providing accurate information; in a timely and professional manner
- Managing the generic mailbox and delegating appropriately
- Coordinating approvals for Head of School and liaise with Faculty for Dean approvals where required
- Organising induction formalities for new staff including access, computer availability, etc

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Substantial relevant administrative experience
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, to meet and manage competing deadlines and maintain a high degree of accuracy within a high-pressure work environment
- Experience using large scale enterprise systems or the ability to gain competency within a reasonable timeframe.

**Remuneration & Benefits**
**Base Salary Range**:$76,936 to $88,015 pa (HEW 5) This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a permanent basis.
