Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Test Manager with strong hands‐on expertise in test automation and ServiceNow platform testing to support major digital delivery programs for government clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading testing practices across engagements, including the development of Test Strategies, Test Plans, automation frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
This role combines test leadership with hands‐on testing capability, particularly in automation testing and ServiceNow platform validation. The Test Manager will work closely with project managers, developers, business analysts, and client stakeholders to ensure robust testing governance and high‐quality delivery outcomes across complex enterprise environments.
Experience delivering testing within large government transformation programs, enterprise service platforms, or ServiceNow implementations will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain Test Strategies, Test Plans, and test governance frameworks across projects and programs.
* Lead end‐to‐end testing activities across system, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing phases.
* Design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks and automated regression suites.
* Perform hands‐on automation testing and validation activities, particularly for ServiceNow platform solutions.
* Lead testing activities for ServiceNow and other Enterprise platform implementations, enhancements, and platform upgrades.
* Establish testing environments, test data strategies, and release validation processes.
* Coordinate testing activities across delivery teams including developers, business analysts, and client stakeholders.
* Manage defect triage, prioritisation, and resolution processes to ensure timely remediation.
* Provide mentoring and technical guidance to test analysts and project delivery teams.
* Ensure testing practices align with enterprise quality standards, delivery frameworks, and governance requirements.
* Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency through automation, tooling, and continuous integration practices.
Essential Qualifications
* 5+ years' experience in software testing and quality assurance, including experience in Test Manager or Test Lead roles.
* Strong experience developing Test Strategies, Test Plans, and structured test governance frameworks.
* Hands‐on experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks and automated test suites.
* Experience performing testing for ServiceNow platforms.
* Strong understanding of test lifecycle management, defect management, and release validation processes.
* Experience working in Agile, DevOps, or hybrid delivery environments.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and business teams.
* NV1 (preferably) or Baseline Security Clearance with Australian citizenship.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience testing ServiceNow modules such as PSDS, HRSD, CSM, and/or ITSM.
* Experience with automation tools and frameworks.
* Experience working on Australian Government digital transformation projects.
* STQB Test Manager or Advanced Tester certification.
* Experience establishing automation‐first testing practices within delivery teams.
