**About the Role**:
YWCA Canberra is a feminist not-for-profit organisation that has provided community services and has represented women's issues in Canberra since 1929.
Today, we provide leading and innovative services to women and the broader Canberra community in the areas of children's services, community development, housing, youth services, personal and professional training, and women's leadership and violence prevention trainings and programs.
YWCA Canberra has been managing homelessness services for families since 1996. The Housing Support Unit (HSU) provides supported accommodation services on behalf of the ACT Government and is a registered community housing provider.
We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Property Support Worker with our Housing Support Unit. The Rentwell Program provides affordable rental property to people on moderate incomes at 74.9% of market rent.
We work from a strength based, gender and trauma informed framework offering proactive case management through outreach and transitional accommodation.
**About You**:
If you have excellent communications skills, the ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team and a can-do attitude, we look forward to hearing from you The successful applicant will hold, or be able to obtain, Working with Vulnerable People registration, current National Criminal Record Check and a current driver's license.
**Selection** **criteria**:
- Preferred previous experience in the property management field, including
- Property Inspections
- Tenancy management
- Maintenance processing
- Conducting open homes.
- Knowledge of Property Tree and Inspection Manager are desirable, or the ability to learn new programs
- Experience working effectively with vulnerable and disadvantaged people
- Experience working with individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness within a strengths-based, gender and trauma informed person-centred framework strongly desirable.
