About the Role

As the Conference and Event Coordinator for the Sebel Yarrawonga, you’ll oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events across the hotel, with a special focus on weddings and functions at The Sebel Yarrawonga. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and clients, bringing visions to life and ensuring every detail is handled with precision. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with diverse events across various settings, from intimate gatherings to large celebrations. We’re looking for a creative and organised professional ready to take charge and deliver standout experiences for our guests and clients.

Responsibilities

•Manage end-to-end planning and execution of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and community gatherings.

•Coordinate logistics with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless event experiences.

•Create event strategies, timelines, floor plans, and layouts, ensuring that every event reflects our commitment to quality and excellence.

•Oversee event setup, on-site coordination, and post-event breakdown, maintaining high standards at every stage.

•Assist the Business Development Event Manager in supporting relationships with vendors, caterers, and clients, fostering trust and ensuring satisfaction.

•Innovate and propose creative ideas to enhance the event experience and elevate our brand.

About You

•Demonstrated experience in event management, ideally within the hospitality or resort industry, with a proven track record in executing successful weddings and corporate events.

•Precision and care in every task, from planning to execution, ensuring events run smoothly and exceed expectations.

•Ability to engage with clients, vendors, and colleagues, ensuring all parties are aligned and informed.

•Skilled at handling challenges under pressure with a calm, solutions-focused approach.

•Comfortable working with varied schedules and event demands, including evenings and weekends as required.

•A genuine enthusiasm for creating memorable experiences and upholding our brand’s reputation for excellence.
