ING, Australia’s most recommended bank for the 4th consecutive year is on the hunt for an experienced Risk Manager – Business Controls to join our high performing Business Controls Third Party Risk team.
Please note this is a 12 months fixed term contract role.
As Risk Manager – Business Controls, you’ll be a generalist risk manager who can assist with performing risk assessments and risk profiles; with prior knowledge of third party risk assessments.
You’ll advise Business teams on third party risk matters such as outsourcing, designing and improving the third party supplier process, monitoring compliance to ING Group and local regulatory requirements & training and supporting stakeholders regarding third party risk requirements.
The role requires excellent knowledge of outsourcing and third party risk management practice, Australian regulatory requirements and experience in overseeing and monitoring outsourcing and critical third party providers.

What you’ll do
* Lead remediation activities for ING’s existing service providers in line with the new TPIRM framework & CPS230 requirements
* Service Materiality Assessment Tool (SMAT) Testing – Performing SMAT assessments and analysing the outcomes to identify the trends, suggest changes in SMAT tool (if noted)
* Coordinate activities based on SMAT outcomes, such as service provider due diligence including Technology Security cyber risk profile) managed assessments, Privacy, Financial Crime, Contingency plan, Exit Strategy/Plan
* Manage remediation activities such as implementing governance and performing risk assessments for existing reclassified material/major service providers
* Perform gap analysis of existing third party and intragroup contracts in compliance with CPS230 and ING Global (Head Office) requirements
* Develop and maintain Material Intragroup and Third Party Register in compliance with CPS230 requirements
* Create and update identified issues and controls in Governance, Risk Management & Compliance (GRC) system (iRisk)
* Coordinate APRA notification letters with Regulatory Affairs in respect of new or reclassified material service providers
* Monitor and track remediation activities
* Assist in developing the risk profile of individual critical business operations / business units
* Provide specialist input to relevant risk assessments across all business lines of the bank.
What we’re looking for
* Experience in developing and implementing risk management related policies and processes
* Experience in performing/reviewing the risk assessments and contributing in development of risk profiles.
* 5+ years previous experience in a Risk or Compliance role (Financial or Non-Financial) either within 1st or 2nd line
* Knowledge of Banking regulatory requirements and legislation with an awareness of Non Financial Risk Management including 10+ years financial services experience
* Sound knowledge of banking products and operations including retail banking systems and business processes – including understanding of contractual agreements & commercial terms
* 5+ years experience in Third Party Risk Management and / or Non Financial Risk (1st and 2nd line) with proven experience in successful initiation and implementation of change (Desirable)
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and on multiple deliverables
* High attention to detail with the ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities
