Hays is currently partnered with a Federal Government organisation to recruit a Social Media Officer professional to join them in a temporary capacity. This company is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing programs that support a better life those with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.
**Your new role**

The APS5 Social Media Officer role is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility. The position will provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Contribute to the development and production of Media, Marketing and Digital Communications materials
- Ensure employees have access to information delivered across a variety of channels
- Ensure all materials are accessible and align with the Organisation's style and brand guidelines
- Producing content across a variety of channels including e-newsletter, intranet, website, formal brief and other channels
- Managing correspondence through team inboxes, including actioning and triaging requests for relevant team members for action
- Manage day-to-day operations for social media platforms including sourcing, calendar creation, scheduling, posting and monitoring
- Assist in the delivery of a targeted digital advertising strategy
- Utilise Adobe Cloud based programs to create digital assets
**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you will have:
- An ability to assist in the creation and management of digital projects to drive organisational outcomes
- Familiarity with social media tools such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube
- Experience using Adobe creative Suite and Google Analytics
- Strong copy-writing skills
- High standards of performance for self; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing tasks.
- Ability to utilise of effective digital content strategies to deliver information that respects brand and organisational guidelines
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Understanding of working for government or within the disability sector is highly desirable

This role offers you an attractive hourly rate of $55.24 plus super, full-time hours and initial 12-month placement with the possibility of extension. This organisation supports flexible working conditions.
