We're pleased to invite applications for Senior Systems Engineers to join our excellent Complex Systems Engineering team in Adelaide or Canberra.
Reporting to the Program Director – Complex Systems Engineering, your key focus will be on providing systems engineering service across lifecycle phases and project leadership on interesting and challenging defence and space related projects. You will lead specific engineering work packages and liaise with a range of stakeholders including client teams and external suppliers to deliver required outcomes.
As a senior member of the team, you may have the opportunity to mentor and coach more junior engineers - building the next generation of Shoal's systems engineering capability.
About you
To be successful you will have:
* Experience in tailoring and applying systems engineering concepts and practices across lifecycle phases
* Experience in the application of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
* The ability to provide engineering support to ASDEFCON projects
* Proven experience in leading small teams to ensure successful project deliveryWell-developed stakeholder engagement, project management and technical risk management skills
* The ability to navigate uncertainty and complexity in projects to achieve desired outcomes
* Willingness to apply your skills to a broad range of defence and space related projects
* A Bachelor of Engineering in a relevant discipline
While not essential, the following will be highly regarded:
* CSEP accreditation with the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE)
* Experience in writing tender documentation against Defence RFTs and supporting business development related activities
* Experience in Cameo Systems Modeller/MagicDraw or Enterprise Architect
* Experience with DOORS/DOORS NG for requirements management
Special requirements
* Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current NV1 Australian Defence Security Clearance.
* International export control regulations are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
Applicants must be located in or willing to relocate to Adelaide or Canberra.
