Salary: $73,427.00 - $113,226.00 per annum + 11.5% super & salary packaging | Temporary Full Time | Nowra Drug & Alcohol | REQ552081 | Grade: Counsellor Level 1/2, Psychologist, Social Worker Level 1/2 | Applications close: 23 February 2025.
This is a temporary parental leave relief position until 2 November 2025 with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours.

Responsibilities
- Provide high quality care to clients and their family/carers to ensure the provision of evidence‐based interventions and optimal health outcomes consistent with ISLHD policies, procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and the NSW Health Code of Conduct.
- Assess, counsel and case manage young people with alcohol or other substance misuse issues, also working with their family, carers or friends and young people with substance‐using parents.
- Provide outreach to the local community and deliver youth‐focused health education programmes.
- Work within the Drug and Alcohol Youth Counselling Service in accordance with established protocols.
Qualifications
- Current AHPRA Registration or Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or relevant tertiary degree in behavioural science.
- Valid NSW Drivers Licence.
- Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role and Working With Children Check (WWCC).
