Responsibilities
* Inspire and lead a high performing team
* Provide strategic leadership of ASIC's Finance and unclaimed money functions
* Drive long-term financial strategy and oversee financial operations, including ASIC's unclaimed money responsibilities
* Lead statutory financial reporting and the financial framework, including preparing consolidated year-end financial statements and work papers
* Prepare ASIC's annual budget
* Promote a high-performance culture, drive financial compliance, and partner with senior leaders to achieve business outcomes
The role
The Chief Financial Officer is accountable for leading ASIC's Finance function and will work collaboratively with the business planning and performance reporting team to improve ASIC's reporting framework and deliver insights that support ASIC's work.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the ability to lead, support and influence large, high performing teams in a dynamic and complex environment. You will have considerable experience in the direct management of large teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will have a proven track record operating at a senior executive level within the public sector, with the ability to operate strategically across the business, solve problems, communicate effectively, and support your team at an operational level.
