**The Division**

The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.

**The opportunity**

We have a permanent full-time opportunity for a **Business Services Manager** to coordinate high level business support services to ensure the efficient functioning of the Customer Service Experience and Planning Branch, in the Regional and Outer Metropolitan (ROM) division and part of the Chief Customer Office (CCO). This role will also contribute to the management of all cross-functional issues affecting the branch such as safety, financial and risk, business processes, reporting, strategic planning and organisational improvement.

These positions accommodate remote and flexible work practices across NSW, with the opportunity for you to work out of your nearest Regional or Outer Metropolitan office

Some of the key accountabilities for the role will include:

- Develop the Branch planning and assurance process, aligned to the broader Divisional planning and assurance framework that ensures Branch/Divisional strategies and plans can be translated into meaningful performance targets, as well as provide delivery assurance and regular reporting for senior management;
- Providing advice, technical expertise and operational support to the Branch and the Division's main functions on a wide variety of business matters, including safety, risk, program activity, governance and finance
- Preparing complex correspondence, briefing notes and reports in relation to specific projects, initiatives and issues ensuring that submissions are accurate, timely and have appropriate signoffs;
- Coordination of sound financial management for the Branch, including planning, budgeting, reporting and control;
- Coordinating administrative functions, including office procedures, purchasing and records management and ensure compliance of the Branch with corporate administrative policies and procedures.

**About you**

The role will require you to be highly organised and resilient with demonstrated experience in providing high-level secretariat, administrative and/or executive services ideally in an operational environment. Possessing strong communication skills (written and verbal) you will have an ability to build rapport easily with team members and senior level executives alike.

You are a professional that understands the need to be adaptable and diverse in your approach to day to day work. As an integral part of a customer focused business, you will model the behaviours aligned with excellent customer service in all aspects of your professional engagement.

Preferably familiar working in a change environment, we are looking for someone with exceptional problem solving capability, adept at providing timely and accurate solutions as well as advice on a varied range of matters that may arise. With prior exposure working in the digital transformation or improvement space, you will be passionate, strategic as well as detail orientated in you approach to driving real and tangible outcomes.

You will be proficient at editing, managing submissions, briefing requests, interpreting policy and presentations. In addition to this, you will be adept at dealing with matters across risk, finance, governance with an appreciation of the Industrial Relations landscape. As the Business Services Manager you will have high level computer skills across the Microsoft Office Suite, and confident in learning TfNSW corporate systems.
