About the opportunity
As a Sous Chef you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen and assisting and collaborating with the Head Chef in all kitchen areas. You will supervise the shift operations and ensure meals are served at an exceptional standard.
You will assist with maximising revenue opportunities and support the Head Chef with menu planning, inventory management, food preparation and people leadership. Our menu pays homage to our local suppliers, with fresh ingredients and modern takes on your favourite pub classics.
What you’ll need to succeed
1. Support with the leading, training and motivation of your team
2. Drive effective staff management and labour costs
3. Produce and maintain exceptional quality food across the different food outlets including functions and bars
4. Work closely with the Head Chef in achieving core venue targets and goals
5. Trade cooking qualifications are essential
6. Maintain food safety and hygiene practices
7. Ability to co-create creative and cost effective menus that appeal to a wide audience
