We are seeking experienced Civil Project Managers for the Central Coast / Mackay region who can commit to 1 - 2 years with a real possibility of ongoing extensions and other projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer (or a Site Engineer / Project Engineer ready to step up into a Senior PM role) with a minimum of 7 years experience in delivering road construction, maintenance &/or upgrade projects.
Demonstrated expertise in Civil Road and transport infrastructure planning, design, developing schedules and construction. Key skills include sound fundamental understanding of earthworks, drainage, pavement rehabilitation, timber & concrete bridge rehabilitation, culvert structure remediation, electrical, ITS, landscape and urban design, pavements (asphalt, bound and unbound), bituminous surfacing, road furniture, and retaining walls.
1. Proven ability to lead a team to execute an element of the project life cycle – completed planning studies, completed detailed designs, completed construction contracts.
2. Excellent consultation, conflict avoidance, group facilitation skills; and managing and supervising projects to TMR or other authority body policies, standards and specifications in Australia.
3. Experience with Time & Cost Estimating, Developing Budgets, Documentation, Creating Charts and Schedules, Risk Analysis, Managing Risks and Issues, Strategic Influencing.
4. Familiarity with TMR policies, standards & specifications.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise.
6. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
7. Proficient in established industry programs.
8. Well-developed organising and problem solving skills.
9. High attention to detail, Controlling Quality, Monitoring and Reporting Progress.
10. Working with Vendors & Community Consultation.
11. Commitment to HSE & QA Policies and procedures.
Mandatory Requirements
A Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification, which is accepted by the Institution of Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust); A valid driver's licence & own mobile phone. (own laptop helpful).
The role will be approximately 45 to 55 hours over 5-6 days per week. The roles are Mackay based; however, some work away in regional or remote locations may be required depending on requirements. Locals or relocations are preferred; however, we will consider FIFO or DIDO assignments.
You must have the right to work in Australia, with well-developed interpersonal and consultative skills and a current driver's licence.
