Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mine Surveyor to join our team at South Kalgoorlie Operations, based in Kalgoorlie. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out and marking up production drill plans, carrying out end of month processes, collaborating with the Senior Mining Engineer and Mine Foreman, performing regular cavity monitoring scans, diamond drilling set outs, and training and mentoring surveying graduates.
To thrive in this role, you will need experience in underground mining, the ability to obtain a Mine Surveyors' Certificate Grade One, experience with Surpac and Deswik Software, Leica Instruments, and a current Unencumbered Western Australian C Class Drivers Licence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drill Planning: Set out and mark up production drill plans ahead of the drill schedule.
* Monthly Processes: Carry out end of month processes for development and stope reconciliation.
* Survey Coordination: Collaborate with the Senior Mining Engineer and the Mine Foreman, to ensure the survey priorities align with the operational team.
* Cavity Monitoring: Perform regular cavity monitoring scans (CMS) on the open stopes and within the historical areas that require regular scanning.
* Diamond Drilling: Diamond drilling set outs and collar pickups in line with the geological requirements for grade control and reserve definition drilling programs.
* Talent Development: Train and mentor the Surveying Graduates and vacation students in the correct methods and standards for Underground Surveying.
