About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean and Blue Mountains and Lithgow Region.
The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.
An exciting opportunity as become available to join the Mental Health Pathways to Community Living Team on a Permanent Full Time basis. This position facilitates, coordinate & manages Pathways to Community Living Initiative (PCLI) Stage 2 services for NBMLHD in consultation with the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The successful incumbent will provide expert consultancy and clinical service delivery for Mental Health PCLI consumers with complex needs. This position will ensure efficient and effective clinical processes that support the provision of recovery-oriented care for consumers with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and complex needs across both hospital and community sectors.

What You Will Bring To The Role
* Degree in Occupational Therapy and full registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist; or Degree in Social Work and eligible for membership of the AASW; or Senior Psychologist: an employee with a four year degree in psychology, being a three year degree with a fourth year honors in psychology; or who has qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer and who is registered as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Employees appointed at the Senior Psychologist level shall satisfy the criteria for the Psychologist classification and have completed a minimum of one year at the 9th year of service and thereafter point on the salary scale for Psychologist.
* Substantial postgraduate clinical experience and demonstrated high level of knowledge, skills and clinical expertise in mental health and psychosocial disability. This includes extensive knowledge of the relevant legal and policy frameworks
* Demonstrated leadership experience including experience in change management, development of policies or procedures and involvement in professional leadership roles
* Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work independently with a broad scope, and to manage a demanding workload with competing priorities
* Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative interagency relationships and to leverage these to achieve outcomes for consumers
* Demonstrated ability to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues and service partners to enhance recovery-oriented service delivery
* High level written communication skills including advanced report writing and the ability to use a range of computer systems and applications to collect and analyses data and produce reports
* Current Driver's License and willingness to use for work purpose travel
