Location: Perth, WA Industry: FMCG Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: Our client is currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join their maintenance team at a busy meat processing facility in Perth. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of all mechanical equipment, reducing downtime, and supporting efficient production. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and emergency maintenance on processing machinery and related eq Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to maintain optimal production output. Carry out mechanical fitting, welding, and basic fabrication work. Assist with the installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery. Adhere to workplace health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times. Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements: Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent. 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within meat processing, food manufacturing, or FMCG industries. Solid mechanical fault-finding and repair skills. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Welding/fabrication skills are an advantage. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Willingness to work on a rotating roster or respond to breakdowns as needed.
