The Role
- This position sits within the Pro-Performance and Major Venues team, responsible for identifying and developing opportunities with and influencing end customers across the states of VIC, TAS, WA and SA.
- The team is structured with BDMs who are ahead of the market, identifying, influencing and driving new opportunities / business growth. They present the Jands overall go-to-market strategy. Account Managers then take over channel relationships and project delivery via partners.
- Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for the states of VIC, TAS, SA and WA, working with stakeholders at all levels in the Pro-Performance and Major Venues vertical to increase sales opportunities and maximise revenue and market share from an early stage.
- This role is a proactive sales role and will involve cold outreach to initiate engagement and relationships.
- You will network with industry colleagues and use industry insights to stay ahead of future opportunities and construct an opportunity pipeline.
- You will identify and analyse trends within Pro-Performance and Major Venues markets, including recommendations about new solutions, products and distribution channels.
- You will coordinate value-add services such as design, proof-of-concept demonstrations and after-sales support.
- You will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop proposals, bids, tenders and solution designs that reflect clients' needs and objectives.
- You will proactively seek out opportunities for training to ensure your technical knowledge remains up to date.
About You
- A strong B2B sales background.
- A proven track record of initiating and growing sales revenue by identifying and securing new opportunities.
- Relevant experience in AV or a related technical product range.
- Ideally experience working with AV and technology solutions relevant to Major Venues and Pro-Performance projects.
- Confidence and experience in cold sales outreach to current prospective customers.
- Intangible qualities: a clear communicator, a team player and able to work with stakeholders of all levels.
- Flexibility to travel interstate occasionally and to be face to face with customers locally on a regular basis.
