About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a driven and technically minded Sales Manager to take ownership of the QLD/NT territory for a well-established business in the construction and coatings industry. This role is focused on driving growth across trade, retail, and wholesale customers, supporting both new and existing relationships across a range of commercial, industrial, and architectural markets.
You'll have full responsibility for the territory—prospecting, managing key accounts, delivering product training, and leading customer engagement initiatives across multiple channels. Backed by a supportive national team and reporting directly to senior leadership, this is an opportunity to make a real commercial impact with an innovative and growing business.
Duties
* Own and drive sales performance across QLD and NT, meeting monthly sales and margin targets
* Build strong relationships with contractors, distributors, trade users, and retail partners
* Identify and convert new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and project tracking
* Deliver product training, demos, and technical support to trade customers and end users
* Coordinate participation in trade shows, industry events, and customer presentations
* Monitor inventory levels and participate in warehouse stocktakes in collaboration with operations
* Oversee and support a network of Approved Applicators to ensure consistent project delivery
* Maintain call cycles and daily reporting through the CRM system
* Provide input into marketing and social media initiatives to drive regional visibility
* Assist with credit management and accounts receivable follow-up as needed
Skills & Experience
* 3–5+ years of technical sales experience in construction, coatings, or industrial products
* Strong account management skills across both wholesale and trade customer bases
* Confident communicator with experience delivering product training and technical support
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory
* Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office; experience with MYOB a plus
* Ability to interpret building plans/specifications and track project pipelines
* Comfortable travelling regularly throughout QLD and NT to support customer engagement
