We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team on a casual basis. This role is classified under Level 4 of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award = $35.15, suitable for experienced professionals who can work independently and contribute creatively to our dessert offerings. We are able to provide a range of 14 to 24 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
* Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
* Assist in menu development and seasonal dessert planning.
* Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
* Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and support team operations.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a commercial kitchen.
* Formal culinary qualification in patisserie or baking.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
* Creativity and attention to detail in presentation.
* Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
