Your new company
Our client, a successful company specialising in the construction of Commercial and Government facilities, is recruiting a talented Site Supervisor to join their team and work on the delivery of a large-scale Building project in remote Northern Territory.
Your new role
You will be responsible for coordinating the construction works on site and monitoring the delivery of the project to meet the company and client's requirements for quality, safety, and budget. The project will involve several new builds as part of the development of a new Government facility in a remote location of the Northern Territory. This is a full-time role with a 3 weeks on / 1 week off roster available from Darwin.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
* Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, possible cost-savings measures, and potential construction problems.
* Develop the daily and fortnightly programming.
* Monitor the project construction schedule and the subcontractors' scope of works.
* Supervise the activity on site and oversee the Trades and subcontractors' daily operations.
* Ensure an efficient and safe quality of work according to the company's standards.
* Report directly to the Project Manager about the work progress and ensure scheduled works are completed on time.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Significant experience in a Site Manager or Site Supervisor role working on Commercial or Government construction projects in Australia.
* Trade qualifications / background in Construction.
* Previous experience in interpreting drawings and specifications.
* Previous experience with subcontractor management.
* Strong understanding of MS Office applications and/or Procore is desirable.
* Solid leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
