Project Procurement Role - Work for Client - Work from Home
Exciting newly created role for a Project Procurement Specialist to join the Contract & Procurement team of this Global Blue Chip mining organisation. Responsibilities Reporting to the Superintendent, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for dealing with long-lead items for one of their major projects.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Checking to ensure appropriate authorisation on Purchase Requisitions, and other relevant internal and external documents.
- Requesting quotations, evaluating bids, negotiating, and evaluating proposals from Suppliers and Contractors.
- Negotiating and the award of a variety of Orders including Capital Equipment orders; mechanical, electrical, civil, construction or capital works contracts.
- Checking to ensure that Request for Quote (RFQ) summaries and purchase order documents are accurate and professionally prepared - particularly those requiring higher authority to commit funds.
- Effectively utilising computerised Purchasing and Materials Management systems to enhance individual performance and accuracy for the benefit of all users.
- Proactive expediting of department Purchase Orders.
- Assisting with invoice queries to ensure prompt payment to vendors.
Profile Required:
- Experience in Project Procurement.
- Competent in usage of Excel Spreadsheet, and other MS Suites.
- Experience in oil and gas, chemical processing or mining and manufacturing industry.
This role offers an excellent day rate (to $800) as well as a fully flexible working week including working from home.
