ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to our Human Resources Business Partner, you will be the first point of contact for HR-related matters and play a key role in delivering responsive HR administration, coordination and support across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, has an approachable personality that is coupled with an engaging communication style, is resilient and is looking to grow their HR career while making a meaningful impact.

Your day will include:

* Providing HR advice to employees and managers, ensuring compliance with policies, enterprise agreements and employment legislation.
* Supporting employee onboarding, contract generation, offboarding, and general employee lifecycle processes.
* Assisting in the coordination of performance management, incident reporting and disciplinary matters alongside the HR Business Partner.
* Maintaining HR records and compliance documentation, including right-to-work checks and intranet content.
* Contributing to HR projects and supporting policy implementation and engagement initiatives.
* Supporting payroll processes and learning payroll functions to assist during peak periods or audits.
* Assisting with injury management processes and obtaining RTW Coordinator qualifications if required.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this position you will possess the following:

* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field.
* 2+ years experience in an HR support or coordination role, ideally within a construction business.
* Sound knowledge of HR systems and employment legislation.
* Strong organisational and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
* Willingness to travel locally and interstate and support a flexible working environment.
* Desire to learn and assist with payroll and injury management functions.
* Return to Work Coordinator qualification (or willingness to obtain).
