The Role
* Utilise your creativity to prepare exceptionally presented dishes, consistent in flavour and quality
* Work closely with the Head Chef to further develop your culinary skills and techniques
* Assist with food and labour cost control in line with budgets
* Supervise, motivate and support the kitchen brigade
* Ensure speed, efficiency and consistency of service
* Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
* Maintain all food safety standards and legislative requirements
About You
* Minimum 1–2 years' experience as a Sous Chef
* Strong hotel and event experience is essential; café experience is highly regarded
* Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Passionate about food, quality and presentation
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
* Punctual, reliable and able to lead by example
* Hold valid Australian working rights
