We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated gardener who will be solely responsible in overseeing a hydroponics unit based at Gallipoli Barracks (Enoggera). You will receive full training and support while you manage a variety of cultivars in an indoor controlled setting from seed to harvest - a truly unique position for an eager Green Thumb!
The Position:
Part time position
Access the chamber daily to supervise and monitor growth while utilising additional support and education, with the intent to refine the process of hydroponic farming.
Diligent monitoring and record keeping of all variables within the growing environment, including PH levels, temperatures, and tanks levels.
Identify crop, cultivar, and mechanical issues early, and work with external hydroponics company to resolve.
Maintain company policies and food safety practices while handling the fresh produce.
The Person:
Experience in hydroponics preferred, however not essential.
Licence and own transport to access to site.
Meticulously follow instructions while working autonomously to plan and schedule tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Communicate effectively and deliver timely and accurate feedback and data to stakeholders.
Safety conscious, problem solver with passion and drive to refine processes and get results.
