We provide leading-edge conveyor and sortation systems, voice and light-directed order fulfillment equipment, controls and software, robotics, mezzanines, and structures.If you want to join a team of industry-leading experts and create an impact on the future of material handling solutions, we want to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:Welders join metal parts using high heat application to form permanent bonds.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materialsPlanning work by interpreting blueprintsDetermining welding position and type of metal to be fusedSelecting and setting up welding equipmentEnsuring welds meet standards and specificationsComplying with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and proceduresEnsuring sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement for industry-leading performance and customer satisfactionQualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certificate or Associate degree in weldingMinimum 1 year experience in weldingKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:Good mechanical aptitudeAbility to read blueprintsKnowledge of hand tools and power toolsGood communication skillsKnowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniquesSelf-motivated and detail-orientedTeam-orientedCrane operation experience preferred, but not requiredForklift operation experience preferred, but not requiredADA RequirementsMedium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to thrust forward, downward or outward.Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palmVisual: The worker must have close visual acuity for activities like data analysis, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, detailed reading, visual inspection of small defects or parts, using measurement devices, or assembly at close distances.Visual: The worker must be able to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work or observe facilities or structures.Job Conditions: Subject to inside environmental conditions, protected from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes.Job Hazards: Includes proximity to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical currents, working on scaffolding or high places, exposure to high heat or chemicals.
