**About you**
You are a patient, kind and compassionate. You have a desire to provide high quality care to your community. Your attention to detail will ensure that you are providing the right support and that clients are following their care plans. Your ability to build relationships will build trust with the clients and ensure they are feeling supported and cared for.
As a Home Care worker your days will consist of:
- Helping with cleaning, shopping, meal preparation and other light housework;
- Assisting with transport to appointments and undertaking personal shopping;
- Personal care, including showering, dressing, continence care;
- Assisting with medication;
- Support in developing a consumer driven care plan.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Experience in providing excellent customer service;
- A current driver's licence and fully insured and reliable vehicle for work purposes;
- Physical capacity to carry out the duties required, including house & manual work;
- A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent (qualified applicants);
- Completion of the following unit of competency: HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication - or ability to acquire (qualified applicants);
- Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates (qualified applicants);
- A Drivers Authority will be highly regarded.
- Under Churches of Christ policy and/or the applicable public health directions, team members are required to be vaccinated for Covid-19.
