**The Opportunity**
We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Commercial Manager to join our team. This role requires strong relationships with project teams, a natural curiosity to investigate issues and the technical expertise to provide sound recommendations based on commercial, financial and legal positions. You will play a critical role in navigating complex commercial matters and offering strategic advice on the best course of action.
- Some interstate travel will be required. This is a full-time position on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Commercial Expertise & Risk Management**: Provide expert advice across projects, ensuring strategic solutions for contractual risks and entitlements.
- **Strategic Collaboration**: Partner with procurement, subcontract and legal teams to optimise contracting arrangements, reviews and compliance processes.
- **Contract Drafting & Management**: Prepare, review and negotiate contract terms, notices, extensions and leveraged works, ensuring accuracy and risk mitigation.
- **Financial Modelling & Decision Support**: Interpret financial data, build models and provide insights that guide commercial decision-making.
- **Project & Leadership Support**: Maintain commercial registers and provide recommendations to project managers and directors before issues escalate.
**Skills & Experience**
- **Qualifications**:Degree in Business, Commerce, or Law (preferred).
- **Commercial & Legal Expertise**: Strong knowledge of service contracts and contract law with hands-on commercial management experience.
- **Strategic & Analytical Thinking**: Data-driven decision-making to optimise value and mitigate risks.
- **Customer-Centric Approach**: Proven experience in client engagement, negotiation and relationship management.
- **Communication & Collaboration**: Skilled in stakeholder engagement with clear and persuasive written and verbal communication.
- **Agility & Problem-Solving**: Adaptable work methods, effective planning and the ability to translate complex contracts into clear, actionable insights.
