The Coordinator Towards Zero Suicides manages development and implementation of suicide prevention initiatives, focusing on eight key priorities. The district oversees four priorities and collaborates with partners on others.
The role involves oversight of the NSW Strategic Framework for Suicide Prevention 2018-2023, system redesign, and workforce skill building to prevent suicides among those with mental illness in inpatient and community settings.
You will develop and implement local strategies aligned with best practices, involving people with lived experience and stakeholders.
This position mainly works with Mental Health Inpatient and Community Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol teams, but also engages with other organizations and the community.
The role requires high-level leadership and organizational skills.
This position is open to classifications including: Health Manager – Level 3, Allied Health Professional – Level 4, Psychologist, Senior Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Nurse Manager – Grade 2.
Contract extensions depend on funding.
