Associate Immigration & Administrative Lawyer (4–5 PAE) Corporate & Complex Migration Practice

We focus on corporate skilled migration, complex immigration matters and family visa streams, delivering strategic, commercially focused advice to high-value corporate clients and individuals facing challenging immigration and administrative law issues.
We are particularly recognised for our expertise in medical and allied health migration. The firm is retained by private medical and health groups across Australia to manage their skilled migration programs, including multi-year retainers with organisations with annual turnovers between $50M and $250M. We have successfully managed more than 500 approved allied health and medical migration applications and continue to expand our national footprint.
As we enter our next phase of strategic growth, we are seeking an ambitious Associate Lawyer to join our expanding practice.
The Role
This is an opportunity for a capable and commercially minded Associate (4–5 years PAE) to develop deep expertise in corporate and complex immigration law within a high-performing specialist boutique practice.
You will have primary carriage of files and direct exposure to corporate sponsors, senior decision-makers and complex individual clients. You will work closely with the Principal Solicitor (13+ years PAE) and a growing team, contributing strategically to case management and client advisory work.
The role is primarily based at our Wollongong office (University of Wollongong Innovation Campus), with flexibility to work across our Sydney chambers.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end carriage of immigration and administrative law matters;
* Advising corporate sponsors on skilled migration strategy and compliance;
* Drafting submissions for first instance applications, FOI, informal administrative review & merits review;
* Managing AAT merits review matters;
* Advising individuals on complex immigration and administrative law issues;
* Supervising and mentoring administrative support staff;
* Contributing to client relationship development and firm growth initiatives.
About You
You are a technically strong and commercially aware lawyer seeking to accelerate your development within a sophisticated specialist practice.
* 3–5 years PAE in immigration and administrative law;
* Demonstrated experience in skilled visa programs and corporate sponsorships;
* Ability to manage files with a high degree of autonomy and professional judgement;
* Strong written advocacy and analytical capability;
* Commercial awareness and confidence advising corporate clients;
* Willingness to be primarily based in the Wollongong region.
