DSQ Land Surveyors is seeking a full-time or part-time Survey Drafter to join our team. Experience preparing cadastral survey plans is highly regarded, however, we also welcome applications from motivated drafting or surveying students looking to gain practical industry experience.Flexible working arrangements are available, including hybrid work, work-from-home options and flexible hours. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced surveyors and gain exposure to a range of cadastral and land development projects.
The Opportunity:As a Survey Drafter, you will play an integral role in delivering accurate, compliant and high-quality survey plans, in accordance with regulatory requirements & client specifications.
Managing and prioritising your workload is central to this role, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and to specification. You will be responsible for preparing a range of cadastral survey plans such as subdivision, easement, building format plans, lease & identification surveys. Experience in contour and detail plans, engineering, as-constructed surveys, and ADAC would be highly beneficial.
Quality assurance processes are fundamental, and collaboration with the drafting and survey teams is essential to ensure seamless project delivery and technical consistency.
About You:You are detail-oriented, organised and confident managing multiple priorities within structured deadlines. You take ownership of your work, follow established processes with diligence, and understand the importance of producing quality survey plans. To be successful in this role, you will bring:Approximately three years’ experience in survey plan drafting within the surveying industryDemonstrated experience preparing contour and detail plans, engineering, as-constructed surveys, and ADAC submissionProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with the ability to efficiently reduce survey data and produce high-quality drafting outputsWorking knowledge of the Cadastral Survey Requirements, and Registrar of Titles Directions for the Preparation of Plans.
