About the role
This is an exciting full-time opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join Coastal Speech Therapy as a key member of our clinical team. Working primarily with a paediatric caseload, you will deliver high-quality assessment and intervention services from our Dapto clinic.
We welcome applications from early career clinicians through to experienced practitioners. This role offers a genuine pathway for career progression, including the opportunity to take on a clinical supervision role for other team members as you grow with the practice.
We are proud to offer a genuinely sustainable workload. With a target of just 4 to 5 billable hours per day, you will have the time and headspace to deliver high quality care, complete your notes, and still finish the day feeling good.
What you'll be doing
* Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for paediatric clients and some adults
* Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based therapy plans tailored to each client’s goals
* Deliver engaging one-on-one and group therapy sessions from our Dapto clinic
* Collaborate with clients, families, schools, and other healthcare professionals for a coordinated approach to care
* Maintain accurate and timely client documentation including reports and progress notes using Splose
* Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior team members (for experienced candidates)
* Actively participate in team professional development and contribute to our positive clinic culture
* Support a varied NDIS caseload, working with neurodivergent individuals and individuals with diagnoses including but not limited to Global Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disability, and Autism Spectrum Disorder
* Occasionally provide mobile therapy sessions to clients in their homes or community settings, with kilometres travelled reimbursed
What we're looking for
Essential:
* Degree qualification in Speech Pathology
* Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia (or eligibility to join)
* Minimum 1 year of experience working with a paediatric or mixed caseload
* Strong clinical skills in speech, language, literacy, and communication assessment and intervention
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and professionals
* High level of organisation and ability to manage a varied caseload effectively
* Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Current Paid Working with Children Check (NSW)
* Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
* Valid driver’s licence
Highly Regarded:
* Experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder
* Experience providing clinical supervision to graduate or early career clinicians
* Familiarity with Splose or similar practice management software
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
