JDN Monocrane, a proudly Australian-owned leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and servicing of overhead lifting equipment, is seeking an experienced and driven State Manager to lead our South Australian operations based in Gillman.

The Opportunity
As the State Manager, you will take full operational and commercial responsibility for the South Australian branch. This is a critical leadership role that requires a strategic mindset, excellent people management skills, and a strong background in the industrial or heavy lifting sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a skilled, multidisciplinary team of technicians (Electricians, Fitters, Boiler Makers) and support staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and high performance.
 * Sales and Business Development: You will be responsible for the sales of new Cranes and Lifting systems from quoting to installation, so working closely with customers and well-developed sales skills will be your strength.
 * Operational Excellence: Oversee all branch activities, including service, maintenance, installation, and breakdown response, ensuring efficiency and adherence to all relevant Australian Standards (e.g., AS1418, AS2550).
 * Commercial Growth: Drive business development, manage key client relationships, and ensure profitable growth across the full range of JDN Monocrane products and services, including crane systems, hoists, and modernisation/conversion projects.
 * Financial Management: Manage branch sales targets, budgeting and resource allocation to meet financial targets.
 * Safety and Compliance: Champion our commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), ensuring all operations are conducted in a safe manner and comply with industry regulations.

About You
The successful candidate will be a proven leader with:
 * Demonstrated experience in an operational or branch management role within the industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or heavy lifting/crane industries.
 * Some technical understanding of overhead lifting equipment (cranes, hoists, gantry systems) or related heavy machinery is highly regarded.
 * Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage skilled technical and administrative team.
 * Sound commercial acumen, including experience in financial management, budgeting, and driving sales growth.
 * A firm commitment to safety and quality standards.
 * Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
