About the role
The Gunther Group of companies is seeking a talented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Morisset, NSW. This full-time role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of multiple companies; primarily within our Civil Construction company Gunther Civil and across our other enterprises spanning resource, property development, hospitality and agricultural sectors.
What you'll be doing
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger
* Preparing periodic financial reports and statements for management review
* Processing invoices, receipts, and other financial transactions in a timely manner
* Reconciling bank statements and managing petty cash
* Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow projections
* Liaising with external accountants and auditors to ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations
* Providing administrative support to the management team as needed
* Utilisting MYOB Accumatica ERP system to maintain company financial information
* Completion and submission of timely and accurate reporting to external bodies
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Bookkeeper, ideally in the civil engineering or construction industry
* Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software (e.g. MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks)
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A passion for delivering high-quality financial services
* High level of attention to detail
