About the School Mount Isa Special School, located among the red hills and mining backdrop of northwest Queensland, is the state's most remote and rural special school. We deliver personalised programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum for students with intellectual and multiple disabilities, including autism, physical, visual, and hearing impairments. From Prep to Year 12, students access a highly individualised curriculum designed to meet their learning needs and build on their strengths. Our Senior Schooling program supports Year 11 and 12 students through the Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement. About the Role As the Principal, you will deliver the vision of the department, improve the educational outcomes of students, develop the quality of teaching and learning, and nurture positive relationships among students, teachers, the community, and stakeholders.
