Works Team LeaderAbout the RoleWe're looking for a proactive and experienced Works Team Leader to join our team.
In this key role, you'll be responsible for supervising our Works Crews and Asset Inspection Officers, ensuring all projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard.
You'll lead daily operations, manage resources, and ensure compliance with our Road Management Plan (RMP) and Road Maintenance Service Level Agreements (RMSLA).
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision and Resource Management: Lead and coordinate Works Crews and Asset Inspection Officers, allocating people, plant, and materials to achieve program requirements.Quality Assurance: Inspect and audit completed works to ensure they meet quality standards and are compliant with all specifications and agreements.Customer Service: Respond to and resolve customer complaints and requests related to infrastructure maintenance.Safety and Compliance: Actively promote a safe working environment and ensure the team adheres to all health and safety policies and procedures.Operational Management: Oversee daily team operations, including timesheet approval, leave coordination, and incident reporting.Procurement: Manage the procurement of goods and services, ensuring all purchases are within budget and meet project deadlines.Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as road closures, to ensure public safety.Skills & ExperienceLeadership: Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of road maintenance, construction, and asset inspection processes.Safety Focus: A firm commitment to and knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) principles.Problem-Solving: The ability to identify and address challenges that impact team efficiency and performance.Communication: Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members, stakeholders, and the public.Administrative Skills: Experience with managing timesheets, coordinating leave, and basic procurement.At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
