About the Role
This is a residential position at Townsville, working with our Maintenance Department.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct and complete vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, UT, and other condition monitoring techniques to identify potential equipment failures and provide timely reports to stakeholders.
* Manage contractors for 3rd party crane, pressure equipment, and other statutory inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Analyze root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Develop diagnostic tools to predict equipment failures and minimize their impact on production.
* Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Operational Teams to ensure smooth operation of plant systems.
* Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve lubrication systems and address hazards in the workplace.
* Raise notifications for any corrective work or inspection in the CMMS system.
* Coordinate support for QA/QC checks for critical equipment to ensure high-quality standards are met.
You will have the following skillset and attributes:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in mining, heavy industries, or petro-chemical plants.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or tertiary education in Asset Management/Reliability.
* Previous experience in Condition Monitoring and lubrication is essential.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
* Valid C Class Driver's License and VCAT1 certification (preferable).
* Experience with safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Hazard Analysis and Take 5's.
* Project management experience, particularly in managing budgets and schedules, is highly regarded.
* Ability to engage and present to internal stakeholders, as well as manage outside contractors.
* A strong safety culture and work ethic are fundamental to success in this role.
