About the role

The Manager, Campus and Community Engagement will be a proactive representative for the campus and at local events that promote TAFE SA, our reputation, and VET delivery to strengthen our contribution to the region. Providing leadership to campus staff, the Manager, Campus & Community Engagement will support local staff in the provision of local student training and support services. This role will deliver a strategic contribution to the Regional Skills Advisory Committee that both influences continued improvement aligned to the TAFE SA regional, strategic objectives, and will be the point of contact for consulting with local schools, employers, and industry groups.

As the “face of the campus” the role will provide business intelligence to the Manager, Education Partnerships for the region, on current and future training needs for the region. We are looking for someone with:

- Proven and successful experience in establishing effective networks, alliances, and operational relationships with key external stakeholders, to uphold organisational reputation.
- Advanced interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to influence, consult and liaise collaboratively with a range of key stakeholders.
- Strong ability to plan and organise diverse projects and teams that meet desired objectives, establish the correct priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience of working in a large multi-disciplined organisation and detailed understanding and knowledge of systems and processes.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).

- Some out of hours work will be required.
- Current and valid Australian Drivers Licence.
- Some intra/interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
- Incumbent will be required to participate in the department’s Performance Development Program.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
