The Role
Splunk Security Solution Architects serve as subject matter experts for Splunk Security products, providing expertise and experience in the broader security landscape.
You will support Splunk account teams, including sales and pre-sales resources, to develop fit-for-purpose security solutions for our customers. You will act as the "eyes & ears" for the field, offering expert guidance and recommendations to enhance the security and resiliency of our customers' organizations.
Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain valuable relationships with clients and partners.
* Work closely with account teams to understand sales strategies and support them through briefings, demos, proposals, Proof of Values (POVs), integrations, and issue resolution for our security portfolio.
* Communicate with customers to understand their security architecture, infrastructure, and cyber security objectives, and map their security priorities to Splunk product capabilities.
* Demonstrate Splunk’s security products and services onsite, remotely via webinar, and at field events such as conferences and trade shows.
* Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
* Lead resolution of technical and integration problems.
* Be self-motivated with a proven track record in technical software sales and security technology knowledge.
* Collaborate effectively, demonstrate dynamic presentation skills, and communicate clearly in emails and reports.

Requirements
* Splunk Certified Administrator or sufficient knowledge to administer Splunk Enterprise and solutions.
* 5+ years as a pre-sales engineer, systems integrator, or in cybersecurity roles.
* Familiarity with cyber threats, malware, incident response, SIEM, automation tools, endpoint technology, and threat intelligence.
* Experience with enterprise hardware/software, including operating systems (Windows, Unix/Linux), networking (firewalls, proxies, routing, switching), and enterprise software (AV, email, vulnerability management, databases).
* Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Familiarity with scripting languages, especially Python.
* Industry certifications such as SANS GIAC, CISSP, CISM are highly desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills tailored to technical, non-technical, executive, and leadership audiences.
