Support Workers – Permanent Part Time (Child Safety Support Focus)
To provide safe and consistent care complex care for children and young people in our care through the Child Safety Program, we are seeking expressions of interest for dedicated and resilient Support Workers to join a permanent part-time team. Expressions of interest will be sort internally first, if we do fill the roles we will advertise externally
Available Roles
3 x Overnight Positions
* 2 overnight shifts per week (32 hours per fortnight)
* Shift times: 5:00pm start – 9:00am finish
* Allocated options (choose one):
* Sunday & Monday
* Tuesday & Wednesday
* Thursday & Friday
* You will also have the opportunity to pick up additional hours as an NDIS Support Worker at the permanent part-time rate, scheduled around your allocated shifts.
About the Role
In these roles, you will:
* Provide overnight support for children and young people with high and complex needs.
* Support daily routines, personal care, and positive behaviour strategies.
* Create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment that promotes healing and development.
* Respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours and crisis situations.
* Work closely with colleagues, families, and professionals to support individual care plans.
* Maintain accurate records and reporting in line with Child Safety requirements.
About You
You will bring:
* Resilience, patience, and emotional maturity to support children who have experienced trauma.
* The ability to maintain professional boundaries while building trust and positive relationships.
* Experience supporting people with complex needs (child safety, youth work, disability, or mental health preferred).
* A commitment to consistent routines, structure, and trauma-informed practice.
Essential Requirements:
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Aged Care or similar (or willingness to obtain).
* Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
* Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
* Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
* Prior experience in Disability and/or Child Safety..
