New Opportunities for Young Adults with Autism

Southern Community Options is a not-for-profit NDIS provider that delivers supports in various regions. We build capacity, develop skills, and engage the community.

We are launching services under the Inclusive Employment Australia program. This new chapter will create employment opportunities for young people with Autism across different areas. Outreach activities will also be conducted in other locations for a small caseload.

As an Employment Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping this new program. You will work directly with participants to overcome barriers, build confidence, and secure sustainable employment.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Connecting with job seekers: Building strong partnerships to understand a participant's employment goals, strengths, and support needs.

* Creating tailored pathways: Designing personalized employment plans, supported by pre-employment coaching to build confidence and job-readiness.

* Partnering with employers: Collaborating with inclusive employers to uncover opportunities and match candidates in roles with long-term meaning.

* Supporting long-term success: Providing ongoing post-placement coaching, mentoring, and workplace support for both employees and employers.

* Ensuring workplace inclusion: Addressing workplace adjustments, delivering training, and fostering inclusive workplaces.

* Committing to quality and compliance: Maintaining accurate records and meeting IEA program requirements for high-quality service delivery.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

* Employment services knowledge: Previous experience in employment services or case management is highly valued.

* Relationship building skills: Proven ability to connect with participants, employers, and community partners.

* Results-driven mindset: Demonstrated success in achieving targets and KPIs.

* Excellent communication skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

* Problem-solving skills: Skilled in resolving challenges and managing conflict constructively.

* Tech savviness: Confident with administration, computer systems, and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.

* Resilience and adaptability: Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This role offers full-time positions in various locations. Due to our outreach program, we welcome applications from candidates in those areas.

Be part of something new: This is more than just a job – it's your chance to help shape a service that will create real opportunities for young people with Autism. If you're passionate about inclusion and ready to bring energy, professionalism, and commitment to making a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Salary packaging options, a supportive team environment, and mandatory qualifications are available for successful applicants.
