Lead a team of infrastructure experts to design and deliver complex IT infrastructure solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. We are looking for someone who can lead the preparation and conduct of product trials on and off site, as well as manage the administration of our bespoke evaluations infrastructure.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Infrastructure Engineers and Technicians to design, implement and support existing server infrastructure. You will also be responsible for leading project planning and meetings, and working with senior stakeholders to provide strategic direction setting for infrastructure systems.
We offer a competitive salary, 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 after 5 years' service), 8 Bank Holiday days off in addition to your annual leave, and 2 ½ additional days leave (set dates through the year). In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies, including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Windows server administration, and Linux system administration. You will also be responsible for maintaining infrastructure systems, equipment, networks and services, and identifying risks and resolving issues efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience of leading infrastructure teams, making strategic decisions, and taking responsibility of a range of different platforms and systems.
* Significant depth and breadth of technical services and solutions, such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Windows server administration, Linux system administration.
* Proven experience of maintaining infrastructure systems, equipment, networks and services.
