About the role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Group Financial Controller to lead TWE's global financial reporting processes, statutory and financial reporting requirements. Reporting to the CFO and based in Melbourne, this role plays a critical leadership role within the Group Finance function, with accountability for delivering high‐quality, timely financial information and strengthening financial governance across the business.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the end‐to‐end Group financial close and consolidation process, ensuring accuracy, integrity and timeliness. This includes ownership of general ledger processes, consolidation, foreign exchange, validation controls, and reporting completeness across all regions.
* Lead the preparation and delivery of half‐year and full‐year statutory reporting in compliance with IFRS, ASX and broader regulatory requirements, ensuring high‐quality disclosures and alignment with market expectations.
* Provide expert guidance on complex accounting matters, including significant transactions, accounting policy, and governance frameworks, ensuring consistency and compliance across the Group.
* Drive a robust global financial control framework, including oversight of internal controls, audit engagement and effective risk management practices.
About you
You are a technically strong finance leader who can operate at both detail and enterprise levels, bringing commercial insight and influencing capability across a complex global organisation.
Qualifications
* CA/CPA qualification with significant post‐qualification experience
* Experience operating in a Financial Control role in an ASX listed company or strong experience with a Big 4 working with ASX listed clients
* Deep expertise in IFRS and listed company reporting environments
* Proven leadership in financial reporting, governance, audit and controls
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including Board and Audit Committee exposure
* Experience working in complex, global or matrixed organisations
