Job Title: Maintenance Planner
We are seeking a skilled and results-driven Maintenance Planner to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Delivery Superintendent, you will be responsible for the preparation and planning of maintenance activities for our Coal Handling Preparation Plant.
The successful candidate will possess a relevant trade or diploma qualification with a mechanical or electrical focus, as well as high-level planning/scheduling experience in a similar role within a coal handling plant or heavy industry environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain short- and long-term maintenance forecasts;
* Maintain effective use of preventative maintenance strategies;
* Plan labor, materials, external services, and equipment for maintenance tasks;
* Liaise effectively with key contractors to ensure work is scheduled correctly to allow safe and effective execution of tasks;
* Liaise effectively with the planning and execution teams to ensure the plan is delivered in a timely manner;
* Control costs through effective planning/scheduling of available resources;
* Drive performance through chairing weekly meetings;
* Provide supervision support during maintenance shutdowns and breakdowns;
* Identify and implement improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
* Relevant trade or diploma qualification with a mechanical or electrical focus;
* Demonstrated high-level planning/scheduling experience in a similar role within a coal handling plant or heavy industry environment;
* Drive and focus on continuous improvement;
* High level of attention to detail;
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills;
* Ability to work autonomously and prioritize in a fast-paced environment;
* Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships across a variety of stakeholders;
* Strong computer literacy coupled with experience in the use of SAP and MS Excel.
