Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, have been engaged by our long-standing client, a major ASX-listed manufacturer operating in heavy industrial and utilities environments. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team.
Role Title: Electrical Engineer
Contract Length: Contract from commencement through to end of December (strong likelihood of extension)
Location: On-site 5 days per week, project-based flexibility
Hourly Pay: $100 per hour + super
Role Details:
Deliver electrical engineering across assigned capital work packages within a large-scale industrial project environment
Oversee design, procurement, contractor coordination, commissioning and project controls including low voltage distribution, drives, control systems and instrumentation
Review and integrate cross-discipline documentation including P&IDs, piping, mechanical GAs and 3D models to ensure alignment and constructability
Support hazard identification, risk management and HSE processes (HAZOP, SIL and related reviews)
Coordinate technical specifications, tendering and contract administration for major equipment and construction packages
Provide construction and commissioning support to ensure safe and timely delivery of assets
Required Skills and Experiences:
Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
5+ years' experience managing engineering aspects of capital projects in heavy industrial environments (ideally closer to 10 years total experience)
Strong experience with low voltage systems, pumps, drives, instrumentation and control systems
Background in heavy manufacturing, steelworks, oil & gas, piping or large-scale utilities projects highly regarded
Experience with tendering, negotiation and administration of major equipment supply and construction contracts
Proven commitment to safety, compliance with Australian standards and delivery to scope and budget
