Role Summary:
* To provide exceptional customer service, both face to face and via the telephone.
* To enter request form data into our Laboratory Information System efficiently and accurately.
About The Role:
1. Data entry of pathology request forms using laboratory application software
2. Answering phone enquiries, emails and in person enquiries
3. Provision of results to clients and medical practitioners
4. Handling accounts, appointment bookings and general reception tasks
5. Courier services with report delivery and sample pickup as required
6. This position will be expected to provide coverage as required Monday - Sunday.
7. Other administrative tasks
Selection Criteria:
1. Previous data entry experience and competence with a range of computer application programs
2. Previous experience with or a sound knowledge of medical terminology - medical reception experience will be considered an advantage
3. A keen eye for detail and exceptional accuracy in data transfer operations
4. Well-developed general administrative skills
5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
6. The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment as well as autonomously when required
7. An understanding of and commitment to privacy and confidentiality requirements within a medical setting
8. Great availability to cover a variety of shifts Monday - Sunday - must be able to work weekends.
