About Our Board
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Board of Directors, bringing a deep understanding of the cultural, political, economic and social context of the Pacific.
A critical thinking approach to ensuring the integrity of the organisation and exercising key responsibilities;
Strategic guidance for setting the direction of our activities;
Proactive monitoring of our programmes and activities to ensure alignment with our mission and achievement of short-term goals and long-term purpose;
Effective management of executive performance by setting objectives and performance indicators for senior staff and regularly reviewing their progress;
Securing resources required to carry out our mission and sustain it;
Nominees will also be required to participate in our overarching governance body, making informed decisions to drive our success.
Your Skills & Qualifications
We require candidates who have:
An extensive knowledge of the cultural, political, economic and social context of the Pacific;
Sufficient time to effectively commit to our Board work (approximately 15-20 hours per month).
Preferred skills include experience in campaigning and/or expertise in environmental or wider movements, relevant governance experience, and relevant networks that can provide significant value to our Board.
