The Role
The firm is seeking a Senior Associate (6+ PAE) or Special Counsel (8+ PAE) to join its established Dispute Resolution practice in Canberra.You will be working as part of a cohesive, high performing team on a wide range of complex and high impact matters, including:
• Government litigation and regulatory disputes
• Class actions and complex civil claims
• Commercial disputes across major construction, infrastructure, technology and materiel projects
• Merits and judicial review matters
• Negotiations, mediations and arbitration
• Royal commissions, inquiries and investigations
• Strategic advisory work for major government clients
This role offers an exceptional platform for a senior disputes lawyer seeking depth, variety, and the opportunity to influence major outcomes.

What you'll get in return
To succeed in this role, you will bring:• 6+ years PAE, with experience in disputes, litigation or inquiries
o Experience in private practice, the Australian Government Solicitor, or a Crown Solicitor's office is highly regarded
• A strong commitment to building your disputes career
• A collaborative mindset and strong work ethic
• Client focused approach with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
• Confidence working autonomously while supporting and mentoring junior lawyers
• Excellent commercial awareness
• Strong written, verbal and analytical skills
• The ability to hold (or eligibility to obtain) an AGSVA security clearance
