The Opportunity
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Emergency Physicians to join a busy, well-supported Emergency Department in regional Tropical North Queensland. As a Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality emergency care across a diverse and stimulating case mix. You will also contribute to teaching, supervision, service development, and patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
The Emergency Department manages approximately 50,000 presentations annually, with:
* ~25% paediatric presentations
* Significant trauma exposure
* Regional referral responsibilities, including:
* Aeromedical retrievals
* Telehealth support to surrounding rural and remote hospitals
Clinical Support Includes
* 15-bed Emergency Short Stay Unit
* Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory
* Modern imaging and diagnostic services
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the planning and development of a brand-new Emergency Department, helping shape the future of emergency care for the region.
Remuneration & Benefits
* Total remuneration up to $603,633 p.a., depending on experience and appointment level

* FACEM (or equivalent) with eligibility for Specialist Registration with AHPRA
