The Central Sterilising Department (CSD) at Townsville University Hospital operates 24/7, ensuring the safe decontamination and sterilisation of over 1.5 million medical instruments annually. With 40 specially trained nurses, CSD supports operating theatres, oral health, wards, and external clients, playing a vital role in patient safety.

Remuneration is $ $ per fortnight (Nurse Grade 6 Band 1).

About your opportunity
This permanent full-time Clinical Nurse role provides leadership, education, and advanced clinical support within the Central Sterilising Department. You will ensure compliance with national standards and contribute to safe patient outcomes.
Requirements
Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration
Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or willingness to complete within 12 months)
Evidence of vaccination against VPDs and TB screening
Experience in a Central Sterilising Department (highly desirable)
Ability to work all shifts as per roster
