As a Case Planning Officer at Clarence Correctional Centre, you'll play a vital role in supporting rehabilitation and reducing re-offending. You'll assess individual risks and needs, develop tailored case plans, and work closely with custodial and probation teams to support successful reintegration into the community. In this collaborative and supportive environment, your work will directly contribute to safer communities and positive outcomes for people in our care.
As a Case Planning Officer in the Case Planning team at Clarence Correctional Centre, you'll make a positive impact by:
* Managing inmate case plans to support rehabilitation and reintegration
* Assessing risks and needs to inform individualised case strategies
* Developing targeted interventions that reduce re-offending
* Collaborating with custodial and community teams to support smooth transitions
* Promoting cultural awareness and respectful engagement with diverse backgrounds
* Demonstrating integrity and commitment to ethical practice
About Clarence Correctional Centre
Opened in mid-2020, this 1,700-bed state-of-the-art facility is the largest correctional Centre in Australia.
Located on the beautiful NSW North Coast, approximately 6 hours' drive from Sydney and 3.5 hours from Brisbane, the region offers rainforests, stunning headlands, sand dunes and some of Australia's best beaches, alongside vibrant multicultural cafes, restaurants and welcoming community towns.

You could be a great fit if you have:
* A relevant tertiary qualification in Criminology, Social Work, Social Sciences or similar, or equivalent industry experience
* Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Case Management), or willingness to complete within 12 months
* Experience in case management, rehabilitation or reintegration practice
* Exposure to the Criminal Justice System or similar human services environments
* Strong computer literacy and report writing skills
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
This position carries trust and responsibility. To support this, a comprehensive probity assessment, including a National Police Check, is a key part of the selection process for this role.
