We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.
This role involves supporting participants with a variety of needs across different environments, including in-home care and community based supports. Shifts will vary and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleepovers and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support with all activities of daily living, including personal care (showering, dressing, toileting, grooming) as required
* Assist with mobility and manual handling (where required)
* Support participants with community access, including appointments, social outings, and recreational activities
* Assist with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning and laundry
* Administer or assist with medication (where trained and authorised)
* Promote independence, dignity, and choice at all times
* Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
* Communicate effectively with participants, families, and the broader support team
Minimum Requirements
* Certificate III in individual support (Disability, Aged Care, or equivalent) or willingness to obtain
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
* Valid Drivers License and reliable, insured vehicle
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
* Ability to perform personal care and manual handling tasks
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
* Basic understanding of disability support and person-centred care
Desirable Skills and Experience (Highly Regarded)
* Previous experience in disability or community support work
* Experience supporting participants with complex, mental health or high-care needs
* Manual handling and medication competency
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
